The second section has at least 50% power chords, but may include other elements like barre chords, octaves, and simple single-note riffs. The first section has songs that are fully or almost completely made of power chords. I have also separated the list into 2 groups. However, there are also a handful of drop D songs, as one may want to work on their power chords with that tuning. The majority are in standard tuning, as I know beginners don’t have the time or patience to retune their guitars everyday for every song. So below, I have gathered 50 anime songs below, all ranging in style and speed. My rhythm playing has greatly improved after learning some of these power chord anime songs myself!

Your hands will take some time getting use to the shape and staying in that position, you’ll have to mute the bottom strings and sometimes the 6th, may need to incorporate muting and dynamics, and so on. Now, while power chords are simple in theory, you still need to work on them. Sure, they may be the easiest chords around, but they have unlimited potential! Not only can they work in almost every situation, they sound pretty rad with a lot of distortion, and that’s why so many punk, rock, and metal songs incorporate it.
